The story of the grey Lady in Bargam.
'Afia siddiqui', a name not familiar to many of you. When i had first heard about her, the news had shook me. Shook me because she was guilty, guilty of being a muslim in a first world country.
Let me first create a subtle image of afia.this woman was a 110pound frail woman with degrees from MIT and a doctorate in neurocognitive science from Brandeis.Afia was passionate about islam and distributed qurans at MIT.
The times calles her the 'al-Qaida' woman, she is accused of smuggling of diamonds for Al-Qaida.

Afia was being kept in secret custody by the U.S military.when the pakistani embassy requested for afia to be repatriated, the FBI denied the arrest and said that the unnamed female prisoner was somebody else.
THE U.S BAGRAM, AFGHANISTAN TORTURE PRISON
Afia disappeared into Bagram hell after her abduction where she was called the 'GREY LADY' because of her heart wrenching screams. Aafia was repeatedly raped and tortured. Her screams reverberated the walls of the prison day and night. She was physically and mentally tortured to such an extent that the prisoners went on a hunger strike.
Prisoners in Bagram are held in wire cages, given buckets for latrine and tortured and subjected to indignities.
In February 2005, The London Guardian reported that a prisoner named Mustafa was blindfolded, handcuffed, gagged, and forced to bend down over a table by three US soldiers. They then "forcibly rammed a stick up my rectum....I could not stop screaming when this happened."
Another case involved Wesam Abdulrahman Ahmed Al Deemawi. For over a 40 days, he was threatened with dogs, stripped and photographed "in shameful and obscene positions," placed in a cage with a hook and hanging rope, and hung on it blindfolded for two days. Both men were never charged and were later released.
Other prisoners were beaten, chained, hung from the ceiling by their wrists, and subjected to numerous other tortures and indignities - for months or years. In some cases so horrifically died.
Today, Afia continues to be a ghost, a spectre whose screams haunt those who heard her. The image of that frail looking woman has turned out to be deplorable.uprooted teeth, broken badly fixed nose, sunken eyes, have one kidney removed and her torso stitched up negligently and Her condition is horrific.she is not mentally stable to stand trial
The U.S and the international law unequivocally states the prisoner detention and their treatment but the rule under Bush defiles it and Obama has turned a blind eye to the malpractices. Secret detention is strictly prohibited and also the humane treatment of the prisoners Is clearly stated in the law. But eh, who cares. The U.S is the hero and the east can be squashed like a cockroach under its mighty feet.
We the people are nothing. Nothing but mere spectators to the torture and obcenities that the mighty subject us to. We are the audience, they control the show. By some unfortuitous time, we just might become their pawn. We are lucky to sleep on our beds, they were merely unlucky to have been chosen.
Sweet dreams.
